Lehigh Valley Fall Fun Food Frights

Autumn is one of our favorite times of the year! From bonfires and apple picking to festivals and craft fairs, there’s no shortage of things to do in Lehigh Valley. If you’re looking for some family-friendly fun, date ideas, or things to do with your friends, you’re in the right place. Check out our round-up of some of the best fall-time activities nearby.

Grim’s Fall Festival and Corn Maze

Head out to Grim’s Orchard in Breinigsville for the last weekend of their Fall Festival. You won’t want to miss the huge corn maze in their eight-acre field. There will also be hayride tours, tons of great photo opportunities, and refreshments available for purchase in their farm kitchen and bakery. Make sure you arrive hungry so you can enjoy apple cider donuts, caramel apples, apple cider slushies, and other tasty treats.
The festival will be held on Saturday, October 30th, and Sunday, October 31st from 10 am to 6 pm.

Fall Craft Fair at Northampton Community College

Get a jump on your holiday shopping at the Fall Craft Fair, held at Northampton Community College. There will be over 130 vendors selling jewelry, woodworking, homemade crafts, holiday items, and more. Breakfast and lunch food items will also be available for purchase.
NCC’s H.O.P.E. food pantry will be collecting donations of toiletry items and nonperishable canned items, which will be given to needy students – so bring a donation if you can. The craft fair is scheduled for Saturday, November 6th from 9 am to 2 pm and general admission is just $2.00.

Hellerick Fall Festival

The whole family will love visiting Hellrick’s Family Farm for their Fall Festival. This 18-acre space offers tons of fun activities including a hayride, two corn mazes, three slides, a tractor tire playground, farm animals, and over 40 additional kid’s activities. You can also enjoy romping in their sunflower field, since this is included in the admission cost.
The Fall Festival is open daily from 9:30 am until 6:30 pm, through November 7th.

Harvest Wine Festival

You’ll enjoy delicious food, great wine from local wineries, craft vendors, and live entertainment at Bear Creek Resort’s Harvest Wine Festival. Your admission includes wine and food samples a,d a commemorative wine tasting glass.
The wine festival is scheduled for Sunday, November 21st from 12 pm to 5 pm. Hotel packages are also available, so you can make a night of it.

Ride the Colebrookdale Railroad

You don’t need a festival to enjoy autumn fun in Lehigh Valley. If you really wat to enjoy the fall foliage, take a relaxing ride on the Colebrookdale Railroad. This train will take you on an adventure to a forgotten land. Along the way, you can enjoy stunning views from the comfort of the exquisite train cars.
Choose from the Garden Cafe Car, where you can enjoy brunch, lunch, or dinner, a Deluxe Coach or First Class Parlor Car, or the Secret Valley Explorer Open Car, where you can enjoy near 360-degree panoramic views of the valley’s natural beauty.

Visit the Easton Farmer’s Market

The nearly-famous Easton Farmer’s Market is another fall favorite in Lehigh Valley. It was established in 1752 and is the oldest continuous open-air market in the country. We love heading out there on Saturdays for fresh produce, pasture-raised meat and eggs, artisan cheese, specialty foods, and flowers.
This year there are more than 30 vendors selling their goods, including honey, local wine, baked goods, prepared foods, arts and crafts, and more. Not only is the shopping great, but the market also has live music, kids’ activities, and market chef demos. It’s open every Saturday through December from 9 am until 1 pm.
